The Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. HUBZone is a small business certification issued by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Federal buyers can set-aside solicitations, restricting competition for HUBZone certified companies as long as there are at least two HUBZone certified companies with the solicitation NAICS code.
