Small minority-owned businesses may be eligible to participate in the State of Alaska’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. Annually the state establishes goals for ensuring minority-owned businesses receive a portion of state contract dollars and requires the use of DBE certified companies in many of its construction contracts. Participation in the program could lead to more work for small businesses throughout the year. Join representatives from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities as they discuss eligibility for the program and the application process for interested businesses. PTAC trainings often fill to capacity and we maintain a wait list. If you do register for one of our events and discover you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else can take your seat. Your professional courtesy is appreciated!

This is a free workshop; however, registration is mandatory. Seating is limited to 16 seats. This workshop is available via webinar for those outside of the Anchorage area. To attend via webinar you must email Jody King at jlking8@alaska.edu after registering to request attendance via webinar. This helps with the seat count plus is the only way to ensure that you receive the webinar login information.
