Representatives from the Alaska District US Army Corp of Engineers will be on hand to explain the Missile Field #4 Program and the Prequalification of Sources process in detail to contractors.

Emergency money has been allocated to add another missile field at Greely, referred to as MF4. The construction projects for the MEB and the MF#4 Infrastructure are both high-magnitude projects exceeding $50M each, and are expected to exceed $125M for both. “Due to National Security requirements the Ft. Greely Missile Field 4 must be completed on an expedited timeline.” The design for both projects is being completed under an existing AE contract through Huntsville District with Black & Veatch put in place for MDA projects.

Because of the shortened timeline for acquisition/award/construction of these projects, the PARC and USACE HQ has determined the Alaska District will utilize a “prequalification of sources” process. This process will entail requests for interested parties to submit information on experience, past performance, and bonding capability. The information submitted by contractors will be reviewed by a source selection board to determine the most highly qualified contractors for a Prequalified Sources List.

More details can be found in the FBO posting here: USACE Industry Day
