What are the federal government SBA small business programs? Is “ANC” a small business program? How do the small business programs impact federal government procurement? What are the advantages to be certified in the SBA Small Business program(s)? Is there a preference among the different programs (HUBZone firms vs. Women-Owned firms)? Can a firm qualify in more than one program? What does it mean to self-certify versus SBA-approved certification? What are the different types of teaming arrangements; what are the benefits of teaming to be competitive in federal procurements? What is a joint venture? What is a mentor protégé? By understanding the different programs, firms will have a better understanding in how to do business with the federal government. This workshop is targeted to new and existing firms interested in doing business with the federal government. It is recommended for small business firms to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov), but not mandatory to attend. This workshop is free of charge, however, pre-registration is required. Presented by Marichu Relativo, SBA Procurement Center Representative.

To register go to http://akptac.ecenterdirect.com or contact Tina Henne (907)456-7232 or 1-800-478-1701 by phone, or email tina.henne@aksbdc.org
