USACE Lunch & Learn

When:

June 28, 2018, 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM -

Where:

The Associated General Contractors of Alaska (AGC) 8005 Schoon Street, Anchorage

Cost:

Free

Join us in the Anchorage AGC office on June 28th, or in the Fairbanks office via Skype, for a sit down with the USACE.

Items to be covered include:

  • Opportunity for USACE to reset industry mental models; the new normal requires innovation, collaboration, and overall commitment-based execution from both contractor-partners and the USG
  • Provide specifics of the new business model framework (early contractor involvement during requirements definition, prequalification, etc). This will also include discussion on the ongoing effort to streamline the construction submittal requirements and overall performance requirements where possible – intention of USACE is to partner with industry to work smarter during project delivery
  • Foster an environment based on collaboration and trust
  • Put renewed emphasis on Partnering – formal Partnering is a best practice and crucial during the project kick-off phase
  • Overall outreach opportunity – contractor partners leave lunch energized to do work with the Corps of Engineers – Alaska District.
