Did you know that the Alaska PTAC is hosted by the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA)? For many years, PTAC was a partner program of the Alaska Small Business Development Center (and still is). Then, last year, the University of Alaska leadership opened the Business Enterprise Institute (BEI) that places nearly all of the system’s business and economic development programs under one roof. The mission of BEI is to develop and diversify the economy of Alaska. In addition, BEI will improve coordination, collaboration, and innovation of services available to Alaska’s business community.
This new formation gives the PTAC program an incredible depth of expertise with a more productive partnership with industry, support development that sustains Alaska’s communities and economic growth.
