Often businesses feel that they need to have every and all socio-economic certifications before contracts will fall at their feet. Unfortunately that’s not at all how it works. Granted, government certifications, such as 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB or CVE, do provide the opportunity to bid on restricted or set-aside solicitations. Mostly, these certifications are simply value-added marketing tools, and like most tools, their value is dependent upon correct usage. This video will provide a brief introduction and the eligibility requirements for each socio-economic certification and how to determine which certification if right for your business.
